CENG/BILM 497/498 Senior Design Project

Now you are ready for graduation!!! Thus it is time for doing some nice projects as graduation gifts.

Read the course information before get started.

Check the proposals and select three among them by filling in the form.

Projects were assigned for spring semester: Project assignments

We will have a calendar for the senior projects and you will see the upcoming events from this calendar. Therefore we can finish our jobs on-time. You are supposed to obey the rules below in order to have a better understanding of each other.

Calendar:

Tentative Schedule(subject to changes)
• Thursday, October 30: "Get Started Meeting," 15:00-15:50 in E-210.
Discuss independent work schedule and methodology.
• Tuesday, November 11: "Senior Design Project Form" to Zeynep Orhan by 5PM.
Submit form with project description and outline.
• Friday, February 6: "Final Written Reports" are due by 5PM.
Give a copy both to your advisor and to the jury members.
• Monday, February 9: "End-of-the-Semester Project Presentations",
Make an (10) minute presentation on the progress/results of your project.

Rules:

The list of project proposals are announced (Tuesday, October 28, 2008)
Select 3projects in the order you want to take
Provide your GPA
Submit your choices and proposals until Tuesday, November 11
Otherwise you will be assigned randomly
You will have a progress report, presentation and submit a final report during this semester.
The presentation will be about your coding.
Final report will be a detailed explanation of all the work you have done so far.
The presentations will be prepared by Powerpoint or something equivalent.
Attendance for the weekly meetings is obligatory. If your attendance is below 70% you will fail directly!!!
Provide your e-mail adresses, otherwise you may not receive some of the announcements related to the senior project
Your final grade will be determined by considering your attendance, presentations, reports, coding etc.
