| This course provides a general understanding of software engineering through ideas and techniques for designing, developing, and modifying large software systems. Some of the topics covered include project planning and management, function-oriented and object-oriented design techniques, designing for re-use and maintainability, and software maintenance. Particular emphasis is on a group project in which a group of students implement a system from its specification. Object Oriented Design Techniques are used as software design and development tool. Prerequisite: CENG 201, CENG 217, or Chairman's consent. |
