GEO 472 Globalization

 

 

 

Course Description (GEO 472):
Globalization is the intensification of economic, political, social, and cultural relations across international borders. This course provides an introduction to the debates over globalization and addresses the resulting inequalities and tensions, as well as the new opportunities for cultural and political exchange. It will also focus on the uneven process of globalization and its effects in terms of cross-national intensity, geographical scope, and national and local depth. The impacts of globalization on government, finance, labor, culture, the environment, and health are among the topics of the course.
